25 Ways to Practice Self Care to Become Your Best Self
The best way to be able to care for others is to start with caring for yourself.
It’s easy to get caught up in all the busy day-to-day hustle and bustle of life’s responsibilities. It sometimes feels like life is flying by way too quickly and we don’t seem to have any time to enjoy it!
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Take a long hot bath
- Listen to music that makes you feel good
- Re-read one of your favourite books
- Do some Excercise
- Take time for yourself, away from others
- Burn your favourite smelling candle
- Buy yourself some fresh flowers
- Read Inspirational Quotes
- Unplug from Social Media
- Take a nap
- Make a gratitude list and jot down everything you are thankful for
- Avoid toxic people
- Try some Yoga
- Watch some funny Youtube Videos
- Get out in the sunshine and fresh air
- Meditate for 5 – 10 minutes
- Clear your desk
- Take a short walk
- Call a friend
- Look through photos
- Check in with yourself regularly
- Make a hot Cuppa
- Dance
- Do something creative, write a poem or doodle
- Turn off your phone for a day

Re-reading a favorite book is definitely one of my faves. I also love a long bath with an audio book.

Great points. I’ve definitely learnt since doing Yoga that taking care of ourselves is more of a duty than anything else. How can we look after others and be our best selves if we don’t? My favourite self care activities are Yoga and meditation, gaming or watching a series to completely switch off and recharge for a while or having a nice bath!

It does get difficult looking after the kids if i dont take time out for myself. I love yoga, I must admit I’ve not done any this year so I do need to get back into it. I’m not much of a tv person but I did enjoy a few series on Netflix over Christmas. Thanks for reading Jenny x
